Growing up in the Boston suburbs, Chris (nicknamed "Cevans") was bit by
the acting bug in the first grade after watching his older sister
perform. Theater camp, school plays and community theater gave him the
courage and chutzpah to set his post-graduation sights on New York
City. Contacts made while interning in a casting office one summer
helped him land television roles and bit parts in films, but it was his
featured role as a popular jock in the comedy parody Not Another Teen Movie (2001) that marks his breakout role. With his energetic portrayal of Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) in the Fantastic Four
franchise, his leading-man good looks and an impressive slate of films
headed for theaters, Evans is proving to fans that this young star
won't be fading anytime soon.
