The child of an actress mother and pediatrician father, Milla
Jovovich's family relocated to the States when she was five and she was
soon enrolled in acting school. It wasn't long before her striking
looks landed her a modeling career, and at 12 she became the
youngest-ever magazine cover model (with a reputation for being a
brat). By 15 she'd banked $1 million, and by 18 largely abandoned
modeling to become an actress. As a scantily clad alien in 1997's The Fifth Element, Jovovich stole the show from costar Bruce Willis. The refined, private actress' noteworthy roles since have included The Messenger and zombie video game movie Resident Evil.
