The daughter of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell,
Tyler thought she was really the daughter of singer Todd Rundgren until
she was told the truth at age 9, and she didn't meet her father until
1988. She began her career in modeling, but gave that up to get into
acting. Her breakthrough role came in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty (1996), and she's best-known today for portraying elf princess Arwen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

1. She's never taken acting lessons but was offered the female lead in James Mangold's Heavy after only one reading.
2. One of her first jobs was appearing in the video for Aerosmith's
"Crazy." She was cast based on her work in a commercial; she didn't
even know it was her father's song.

4. At the 1999 Academy Awards, she introduced Aerosmith's Oscar-nominated song "Don't Want to Miss a Thing," from Armageddon, in which she starred.
